Adaptation

Writing

Adaptation, also referred to as transcreation, appreciates cultural diversity and celebrates the layers and dynamics of its common ground. Idiomatic habits, preferences of style and the reader's frames of reference are taken into account. It is a process situated between translation and copywriting and includes several changes in terms of wording (factual or conceptual), style and tone (colloquial or intellectual), as well as an update of references (links to the history of art and cinema, to critics and relevant cultural players). In rearranging the content and adapting its style, we make sure that the feeling of the original text is transferred to the new one and meets the interest of the intended readership.
